-	The film begins with Ruby (Grey DeLisle) watching the night circle (moon) changing from a new moon to a full moon and she calls the process "The Growing Sky Stone." Then Littlefoot (Jordan Nagai) and Chomper (Zachary Gordon) walk up and lay on the grass with her and ask what she's watching. They soon find out from Mr. Thicknose that when the night circle becomes full, that the moon is going to turn red (Solar Eclipse). Now they must tell the rest of the valley including their one friends what's going to happen. Ruby and Dmitri notice the sky has been getting darker since they met and Ruby tells him why. Dmitri tries to make Cera listen, but she still won't. When they have fourteen days till the eclipse can Dmitri and the others get Cera to listen, and what wil happen after the dream Littlefoot has about his mother.
