Futurama

from Wikicartoon, the free cartoon encyclopedia

Futurama is an animated television sitcom created by Matt Groening[1]. It began airing in 1999 and ran until 2003. Its animation style is nearly identical to that of The Simpsons, but Futurama is very different in plot and content. The show is set in the future and, while still containing much of the satire found in The Simpsons, it tends to deal more often and candidly with drugs and sex. As a result, it was picked up after its cancellation by Cartoon Network to anchor its Adult Swim section.
