John Lasseter is most famous for the work that he has done with Pixar and The Walt Disney Company. He is one of the founding members of Pixar, creating shorts such as The Adventures of André and Wally B. and Luxo Jr., the shorts that put Pixar on the map so to speak. Lasseter, the only animator in the original founding group, used and continues to use the software known as RenderMan to create animated films. Lasseter was named the Chief Creative Officer of Pixar when Disney bought Pixar in 2006.
