Biography[]
Tara Lyn Charendoff was born on February 12, 1973, to Syd and Lucy Charendoff. At age four, she became interested in acting and volunteered to be a soloist at a school production. During her childhood, she worked with the Yiddish Theater; she had to memorize her lines phonetically because she did not know the Yiddish language.[1]
Strong's first major cartoon role, at the age of 13, was the titular character of Hello Kitty's Furry Tale Theater.[2] Since then, she had voiced numerous cartoon characters, mainly from Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and DC Animation. These characters include Timmy Turner and Poof from The Fairly OddParents, Bubbles from The Powerpuff Girls, Raven from Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go!, Dil Pickles from Rugrats, Ben Tennyson from Ben 10, Twilight Sparkle from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, Truffles from Chowder, Terrence from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, the title character from Unikitty!, among others. She has also voiced Disney characters, most notably as Ariel's daughter Melody in The Little Mermaid: Return to the Sea. She also appeared in the animated series The Proud Family, 101 Dalmatians: The Series, Lilo & Stitch: The Series, and Kim Possible. Following Arleen Sorkin's retirement, Strong took over as the voice of Harley Quinn in DC media, including the DC Animated Universe.
Outside of animation, Strong has also voiced characters in video games played roles in live-action series.
